Play along with Aerosmith as Aerosmith through their musical career in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for the PlayStation 2. Follow the band from its first show at Mendon Nipmuc Regional High School in 1970 to the 2001 Super Bowl XXXV halftime show and their 2001 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band members worked closely with the developers including participating in motion capture to create a truly accurate Aerosmith experience. Over 40 songs many of them master tracks make up the set list. While the majority of the tunes are by Aerosmith including four remastered specifically for the game the rest were chosen by the band members from acts that have played with Aerosmith, or whom inspired the band. Gameplay is based on Guitar Hero III with four levels of difficulty and some improvements to the mechanics. Play competitively or cooperatively with another player or go solo with Quickplay and Career mode. The latter features six segments based on periods in the band's history along with a Boss Battle against Joe Perry. Extra content, including videos, is presented throughout the game or can be unlocked along with other band members and guests, such as Run DMC and Lenny Kravitz. This bundle features a wood-tone guitar controller modeled after the Gibson SG. It features the five color-coded frets on the neck along with a durable, responsive strum bar, whammy bar, a tilt sensor and the ability to rock out from up to 30 feet away. The Phantasy Star Universe gets bigger and more personal with the Ambition of Illuminus expansion pack. New weapons, levels, photon arts and cities are added to the worlds of the Gurhal star system along with new enemies. The story picks up from the end of the second episode of the online game, but it is not necessary to own the original as Ambition of the Illuminus is standalone and can be played in single-player offline mode or with other online players. The worlds are still threatened by the SEED monsters from deep space which have disrupted the 100-year peace on the planets. The human-supremacist Illuminus hope to take advantage of this chaos to build their power. While previously playing the role of Ethan Waber, players now take on their own personal role in defeating these menaces with fully customizable avatars. Fan-favorite areas have been added such as mines, ruins and caves including the mysterious Habirao forest on Neudaiz with its high concentration of photon and its giant mushrooms, or the ruins of Old Rozenom City. It's been ten years since the release of Fallout 2 and 227 years after the nuclear devastation that all but destroyed humanity and now Bethesda Games returns you to the post-apocalyptic remains of what used to be Washington DC, packed with detail and excitement as you explore 2277. You get multiple challenges with consequences or rewards based on your actions. Build your character through pivotal events of your childhood in Vault 101. Assign skill points to reflect your style of play and put yourself to the test as you venture out into the sunlight in the shattered remnants of Washington DC in search of your father the first man to leave the Vault. You'll have to balance finding food to regain health against your radiation level putting the struggle for survival in very real terms. Character interaction can lead you to shortcuts or dead-ends. Side quests give you the opportunity to gain aid and allies and more detail than you can pick-up on a single play-through. Play in either first- or third-person perspective as combat goes beyond simple run-and-gun with the Vault-Tech Assisted Targeting System (VATS) which lets you pause the action and spend points to target a specific part of your foe with dramatic results if you hit. Make sure that you take care of your weapons, as they'll wear out without maintenance. Your character can combine weapons into newer, more powerful ones if you took that skill. When Emperor Uriel Septim VII is assassinated, the transdimensional gates between the world of Cyrodiil and the Planes of Oblivion open and the demonic Daedra invade. Your character is tasked to return the last surviving member of the Septim line, recover the Amulet of Kings and close the gates. How you do this is entirely up to you as the world of Cyrodiil is not only lushly rendered using the latest next-gen graphics and lighting and shading effects, but it is vast and designed for non-linear sandbox play with dynamic weather and lighting. The Plane of Oblivion the otherworldly home of the Daedra is also given the same level of detail. Wilderness quests, ruins and dungeons await as do urban environments all populated by NPC's utilizing the Radiant AI system which brings them to life. Rather than having to repeatedly walk through the same areas, rideable horses have returned as has the ability to teleport back to areas your character has already visited. Stealth, magic and combat skills have been rebalanced with combat skills streamlined.
